Golf Cart Rules & Key Location

This video is to make your stay in Port Aransas more enjoyable and safer while using a golf cart. Please make sure all drivers in your group watch this video and understand the rules.

Rules & Regulations

  • Golf carts are considered motor vehicles and all traffic laws apply. The beach is considered a city street in Port Aransas.

  • You must have a valid driver's license to drive the cart & the person who rented the cart is solely responsible for all damages.

  • Do not drive past mile marker 45 on the beach.

  • DO NOT DRIVE IN HWY 361 or the sidewalks next to it. If you do there's a $500 penalty and the cart will towed.

  • Don't drive in the tide- If the electronics under the cart get wet, the cart will stop working.

  • Fast turns and crazy driving can cause the cart to roll or cause serious injury so please be careful!

  • Open containers of alcohol and driving under the influence are strictly prohibited. With golf cart accidents and DUIs at an all-time high, Port Aransas police are no longer lenient on the law.

  • ANY OPERATOR OR GUEST FOUND IN VIOLATION OF THE RULES STATED WILL BE SUBJECT TO LOSING ALL CART PRIVILEGES.
